Bureau 121 CEO and founder Amélie Blanckaert began her career as a speechwriter for Carlos Ghosn and Carlos Tavares.

She studied at the École Normale Supérieure, gained a professional teaching qualification in humanities and was an auditor at the IHEDN academic institution. The first agency she founded, Coup de Plume, operated from 2006 to 2020 and specialised in the art of persuasion, gradually evolving into a strategic communications firm. With almost 20 years of experience working with companies across a range of sectors, she made the motto “learning by doing” her own.
This former speechwriter’s team now specialises in leadership support, crisis communication, communication related to transfers, as well as social and digital communication.

Amélie Blanckaert is also a director of Groupe Pierre et Vacances - Center Parcs (PVCP) and a reservist colonel in the French air force. She gives leadership masterclasses, has taught higher education students about eloquence and debating for 20 years, and works with a number of associations to help people become better speakers.
